Tax Documents

Deliver your tax documents, whether paper or electronic

    • Any documents related to your regular income, commonly a W-2 or an SSA-1099

    • Other income, including interest payments, dividends, oil and gas royalties, or rental income

    • Tax deductible payments like mortgage interest or charitable contributions

    • Business-related tax information

    • Paper documents can be delivered by mail or in person at our office. You can find our address here

    • Clients can make use of a complimentary software solution called TaxCaddy to upload tax documents electronically. Learn more about TaxCaddy here

    • For your security we are not able to accept documents through email

Draft

We use your documents to create a draft of your tax return

  • Completion time will depend on a variety of factors including the time of year and the complexity of your return.

    Please feel free to reach out to us if you would like updates on the status of your return.

Review

You will review and sign your tax return

    • Carefully review your tax return

    • Please let us know if you have any questions or need to make any changes

  • When you are happy with your tax return, you will sign an e-File Signature Authorization. This form gives M Wilson Advisory permission to file your return.

We will file your tax return electronically

  • There are a number of ways you can make payment to the IRS

    • There will be a voucher page toward the front of your tax return. Follow the instructions on the voucher to make a payment by mail

    • Taxpayers can make online payments to the IRS. Click here to go to the secure IRS payment page

TaxCaddy

M Wilson Advisory is pleased to offer our 1040 clients a complimentary software solution called TaxCaddy. TaxCaddy is a secure app that simplifies the process of delivering documents, signing forms, and accessing completed tax returns.

  •  TaxCaddy is a secure app that enables our clients to store tax documents and share them with M Wilson Advisory. We chose TaxCaddy because it is easy to use, it comes at no cost to our clients, and it offers high-level security to keep your personal information safe.

    We are here to answer any questions you have about TaxCaddy. Please get in touch with us if you would like to learn more about the TaxCaddy system, security features, or set-up process.

    An interactive demo is available if you visit the TaxCaddy website on a desktop computer. This demo is a good introduction to the processes and features of TaxCaddy.

  • We are happy to offer TaxCaddy to all of our clients, but we know that this program may not be the best fit for everyone. Please rest assured that we will continue to provide our services in the manner with which you feel most comfortable.

  • Our clients will receive an email invitation to create a TaxCaddy account. This email will have all the information you need to create a secure log-in, connect with M Wilson Advisory, and add a spouse or financial advisor to your account.

    Do not use the “Sign Up Free” option on the TaxCaddy website. Our invitation email will have a specialized link that will make it easy for you to connect with M Wilson Advisory.
